Dr. Gail Childers, Periodontist in Turnersville & Marlton NJDr. Gail Gerard Childers has been a practicing periodontist in the Southern New Jersey area for the past 20 years. He graduated from Temple University School of Pharmacy and obtained his license for pharmacy (RPH). Continuing his education at Temple University School of Dentistry, he graduated with his DMD degree, and received the HARCO award for Periodontics and his Specialization Certificate in Periodontology. While in dental school, he was elected by the student body to President of Student Council and worked closely with the faculty and the students.

Dr. Childers became a Diplomate of The American Board of Periodontology (Board Certified) and is under consideration to be a board examiner. He is currently on the faculty at the University of Pennsylvania in the Graduate Department of Periodontology and Dental Implant Perio-Prosthodontics, lecturing and teaching pre-doctoral dental students and residents from around the world.

Dr. Childers is currently President of the Northeastern Society of Periodontology. This regional group of periodontists from Maine to Maryland who disseminate knowledge and educate fellow periodontists is based in New York City. He is also a Fellow of the International Team of Implantologists (ITI), a group of 6,000 clinicians, researchers and academicians that are leaders in the dental implant industry. Most recently, Dr. Childers serves on the board of the New Jersey Society of Periodontists and, because he is an expert in the field of periodontology and dental implants, he has been sought after by many manufacturers for being a consultant. The companies include W.L. Gore, Johnson and Johnson, Straumann.
