Meet Dr. Gail Childers, D.M.D.
Board Certified PeriodontistDr. Gail Childers is a dual board certified periodontist and dental implant specialist that has been practicing in the Southern New Jersey and Greater Philadelphia area for the past 30 years. In order to "give back" to his profession, Dr. Childers has taught at both his alma mater Temple University, and at the University of Pennsylvania for over 25 years in the graduate Periodontal and Periodontal Prosthesis Departments. Also, he has served as President of the New Jersey Society of Periodontists and the Northeastern Society of Periodontists and is a consultant for both of these organizations. During his education he was trained in the regeneration of periodontal structures including bone and soft tissue and continues to be a key opinion leader in his profession in working with most recently in stem cell and dental implant research. He interests also lies in utilizing minimal invasive procedures with periodontal microsurgery, Pinhole surgery and the LANAP procedures. Dr. Childers is a fellow of the International Team of Dental Implants(The ITI), founder of the Southern New Jersey ITI Study Club and the original Spear's Education Study in the Southern New Jersey Region. He is a sought after speaker both locally and internationally and is in charge of the New Jersey State Dental Association Southern New Jersey Peer Review. He mentors and educates both younger restorative dentists and surgeons in helping their patients improve their quality of life. In his spare time he loves to spend time with his Family, wife Susan of 35 years and their 4 daughters and 2 grandchildren and their puppies. He is an avid golfer and enjoys bike riding and relaxing with reading at the "Jersey Shore." He is also active at his church by serving as a community group co-leader with his wife.
